Information Day and brokerage event on the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018-2020, Challenge "Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency & Raw Materials" - 2018 calls - will take place on 8 and 9 November 2017 in Brussels in the European Commission's Charlemagne building, rue de la Loi 170. The event targets potential applicants to the 2018 calls for project proposals under the Horizon 2020 Challenge 5 "Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials". The Horizon 2020 Energy Info Days 2017 took place from 23rd-25th October 2017 to present new funding opportunities offered by the Work Programme

The 2018-2020 call of Horizon 2020 for Smart Cities and Communities Lighthouse Projects will put its main focus on integrated innovative solutions for Positive Energy Blocks/Districts. Projects will consider the interaction and integration between the buildings, the users, and the larger energy system, as well as implications of increased electro-mobility, its impact on the energy system and its integration in planning.

A high level EU Presidency conference on NATURE BASED SOLUTIONS involving leading scientists, politicians and entrepreneurs from around the world convened in Talinn, Estonia last week to share experience on how nature-based innovation and eco-innovative technologies can be implemented in many areas of life. Nature-based solutions (NBS) offer ways of tackling societal challenges such as climate change, water security, food security, human health, and others though sustainable management and use of nature.
