The Executive Committee which acts under the authority of the President and steers the main activities of EFAEP between the General Assemblies. Currently the Executive Committee consists of the following members:

The President
Jan Karel Mak is the President of EFAEP since June 2005. He is alos the President and a shareholder of Deerns Consulting Engineers, BV, a leading consultancy firm in the area of mechanical and electrical energy engineering and energy technology

The Vice President
Dominique Bernard is the founding President of EFAEP and had a crucial role in shaping EFAEP. After he did a full term of office as the founding President he will continue his work with EFAEP in his capacity as Vice President. In his professional life he is the Head of Industrial Ecology in the Lafarge Cement Division. He is also President of the French Association of Environmental Engineers (AFITE).

The Vice President
Matthias Friebel is Senior Lead Auditor for several management systems, also managing Partner of EMP Excellence Management Partners (GWÖ Gesellschaft für Wirtschaftsökologie), a leading consultancy firm in the area of environmental management. He is also President of the German Association of Environmental Professionals. (VNU e.V.)

The General Secretary
Mario Grosso is a researcher at Politecnico di Milano on the topic of Waste Treatment and Atmospheric Pollution. He is founder member and Secretary of AIAT (Italian Ass. of Environmental Engineers).

Jim Thompson is the Executive Director of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management in the UK. He is also a Board Member of the Society for the Environment and member of the UK Committee for IUCN.
